While not wealthy, Tango is gifted with one of the three "Views of Japan". The Amanohashidate, or Bridge to Heaven, is a thin strip of land connecting both sides of Myazu Bay, and is the subject of countless paintings. Today the area is home to a major base for the Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force, or what would be the Navy if the modern constitution allowed such a thing.
